Set a static IP Address on Windows Server 2019

If you run into problems, I am always happy to help. You can find me on LinkedIn by following the link at the top of the page.

Search for “cmd” and open “Command Prompt

Running the command “ncpa.cpl” will open “Network Connections

Right-click on the network adapter and choose “Properties

Choose “Internet Protocol Version 2 (TCP/IPv4)” and click on “Properties

Choose “Use the following IP address

Then go back into “Command Prompt” and run the command “ipconfig

Insert the IPv4 Address from Command Prompt into “IP-address”, then type in the Subnet Mask and Default Gateway before clicking on “OK

(Optimally, there should be more than one domain controller, and the Preferred DNS server should be set to another DC)

This server now got a static IP address set.
